Using high build epoxy resin floor coating and a choice of aggregate, the installation of Pedestrian or traffic areas in your work place can greatly improve safety and reduce the risk of injury or near misses.

Available in a vast variation of bright highly visible colours, they can be used to standardise your working practices using a variety of colour to identify different levels of risk.

Along with being slip resistant the area will be easier to clean, highly durable and hard wearing and offer protection to most chemicals damaging your sub-floor.

Case Study:

Our client had updated their working practices, and part of there health and safety policy was to clearly identify pedestrian walkways around there site. They had a mixture of barrier protected walkways and non-protected walkways and wanted to highlight the potential risk when walking on an unprotected walkway. The decision was to have protected walkways to be green and unprotected walkways to be orange. Additionally they wanted to highlight the areas of traffic crossing the unprotected walkways via a black and orange zebra crossing.

To complete this work we prepared the areas by diamond grinding to remove any old floor markings, contaminants and to achieve the correct level of surface preparation. Two coats of solvent free epoxy high build coating where then applied with a broadcast of aggregate applied into the 1st to create the slip resistant profile.
